Rising from the depths of the Netherworld after 2 years of absence, Stratorus returns with an offering of relentless Pagan Black Metal. “Prometheus Rising” is the second Stratorus album, a continuation of what was started on the first album 5 years prior.

This album continues the story from the first album, of Stratorus's journey across the mountainous West to retrieve the fallen Sun from the underworld and bring it back to the surface world. Relentlessly searching the Rocky Mountains for an entrance to the underworld, Stratorus sails through a Black Canyon in the Rocky Mountains which leads him beneath the Earth’s crust. Here he discovers the giant forests and kingdoms of the Hollow, Inner Earth. These kingdoms are what the ancients called “Shambhala”. The Inner Earth is illuminated by the Earth’s core, which Stratorus mistakes for the fallen sun.
Stratorus settles in the Inner Earth, leaving the surface world behind forever, and learns of the prophecies that are to come: when the Subterranean kingdoms rise to the Earth’s surface and crush the forces of darkness that have conquered it.

The first 3 songs are about Stratorus's journey. The last 3 songs are about 3 of the different prophecies from the Inner Earth.
